Video Marketing Tips – Ep10 – Scripts

Another Friday, another quick tip!  This week’s topic: scripts

If you can’t tell, these videos are scripted.  It helps keep them short and to the point, without rambling.  Those of you who know me in person know I tend to ramble. Scripts are a great tool to make sure the video stays on track and uses proper messaging.

Sometimes, people can get lost in a script, they can come across as robotic, slave to the words that were given to them.  Testimonials can become stiff if you force the person to say specific words, rather than how they actually feel, and hurt the overall purpose of the video.

Bottom line.  A script can help with clarity in a video, but can sometimes get in the way of authenticity.
